Youth Hockey

6U Atoms - co-ed, ages 4-6

8U Mites - co-ed, ages 7-8

10U Squirts - co-ed, ages 9-10

10U Wildfire - girls, ages 9-10

12U PeeWees - co-ed, ages 11-12

12U Wildfire - girls, ages 11-12

14U Bantams - co-ed, ages 13-14

14U Wildfire - girls, ages 13-14

The season runs October through February. Playoffs are in March.

Practices and home games are held at the Beaver Dam Family Center Ice Arena. Away games and tournaments are scheduled throughout the state and vary by team.

Teams will play on weekends and schedules will vary by age.

Teams typically practice twice a week and times will vary by team.

Full hockey equipment is required, including neck laceration protection (NLP) as mandated by USA Hockey. Learn more here about NLP.

Purchasing jerseys is not required. Players rent jerseys provided by BDHA and they must be returned at the end of the season.

USA Hockey requires all players to register. Prices range from $15 - $70 depending on age.

Tournament entry fees vary and are divided up among team members to reduce costs. Team Managers are responsible for collecting fees.

To keep registration fees affordable, volunteering and fundraising are required. All 8U-14U players are required to fundraise $250 each season. For more information, go to Resources.
