14U Wildfire

Hi Wildfire families!

I’ll be your team manager this season. I’ll send a short weekly email with the schedule, volunteer needs and important reminders to help keep everyone informed.

Our coaches this season are Mike, Justin, Chris and Katie. Jamie is our scheduler.

THIS WEEK’S SCHEDULE

Tuesday, October 6: 8:15–9:30 p.m., practice with 14U Bantams

Thursday, October 8: 8:45–9:45 p.m., practice with 14U Bantams

Saturday, October 10: Noon–1 p.m., full ice

Please update your player’s availability in Crossbar and check the app for any schedule changes.

TEAM PARENT MEETING

We’ll have a short parent meeting to cover coaches’ expectations, team plans and season details on October 13 before practice. I'll get it added to the calendar.

VOLUNTEER NEEDS

Practice volunteer slots are available on the website. Until games begin, our main needs are locker room monitors, Zamboni and rink manager/concessions. Please check the available shifts and sign up where you can help.

** We need at least three certified female locker room monitors so we can share coverage throughout the season. If you’re willing to help, please let me know. You will need to register as a USA Hockey volunteer, complete SafeSport training, complete a background check (every 2 years) and submit you USA Hockey number to Kelly Guenther.

LA CROSSE TOURNAMENT

Jamie has one of our away tournaments scheduled. The girls will play in the Mighty Miss Classic on January 15–17, 2027. We have a team room block at Stoney Creek Hotel in Onalaska for $129 per night.

Reserve your room here: https://res.windsurfercrs.com/ibe/index....

SKATERS BANQUET BASKET

Tina is coordinating our team’s raffle basket for the Skaters Banquet on October 24. More details about contributions will follow.

Looking forward to a fun season! Please reach out if you have any questions.
